Our leadership team consists of seasoned experts who take an active part in our client projects – in fact; there is a principal in charge of every Miller Dunwiddie project. Our leaders are:
Craig R. Lau, AIA, NCARB – President
Craig Lau has been president of Miller Dunwiddie since 1990. He joined the firm as a
project architect in 1979 and has been instrumental in the continued growth of the firm
ever since. Craig is a Registered Architect in Minnesota and nationally certified by
NCARB. A graduate of the University of Minnesota with architecture and environmental
design degrees; he is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the
National Trust for Historic Preservation. In addition, he is a past board member of AIA
Minnesota and AIA Minneapolis.
Mark J. Miller – Chief Operating Officer
Mark Miller is Miller Dunwiddie’s chief operating officer. Since joining the company in
1978, Mark has been a critical part of the firms lasting success. Today, Mark is
responsible for the general and financial operations of the firm. Mark is the son of Miller
Dunwiddie’s founding principal, Bill Miller.
John D. Mecum, AIA, NCARB – Vice President
John Mecum is a vice president at Miller Dunwiddie and has been with the firm since
1984. A Registered Architect in Minnesota, and is certified nationally by NCARB, he earned a Master of Architecture with
concentrations in architectural and landscape preservation from Iowa State University.
John is a member of the AIA, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Preservation
Alliance of Minnesota, and the Association for Preservation Technology International (APT).
Charles D. Liddy, Jr., AIA, NCARB – Vice President
Chuck Liddy has been a vice president at Miller Dunwiddie since 1992 and has more
than 32 years of professional experience. He is a Registered Architect in Minnesota and
eight other states, and is certified nationally by NCARB. Chuck graduated with a
bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Notre Dame and is a member of
the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota, and
the AIA. He is a past co-chair of the AIA Minneapolis Urban Design Committee and is currently the
AIA - Minneapolis Chapter Treasurer.
Sonia S. Prickett, CID, IIDA – Director of Interior Design
Sonia Prickett joined the firm in 2000 as the director of interior design and has nine years
of professional experience. Sonia is a Certified Interior Designer in the state of
Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Minnesota – College of Human
Ecology with a Bachelor of Science in interior design and a concentration in studio arts.
Currently, she is a member of the International Interior Design Association.
