Burnsville, Minn. (May 1, 2005) – The Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers awarded the Heart of the City Park and Ride with a Merit Award in the Seven Wonders of Engineering Awards Competition.
The four level, 400 car parking ramp was designed by SRF Consulting Group and Miller Dunwiddie Architects to complement the new Burnsville Heart of the City core which includes new retail, office and housing developments. The ramp provides accessible and secure parking adjacent to a major transit stop with direct connections to downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul.
The Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE) is a professional association of over 1,000 licensed professional engineers, practicing engineers, engineering graduates and engineering students in nine local chapters throughout Minnesota. The Seven Wonders of Engineering Awards Competition is conducted annually to recognize outstanding achievements in the field of engineering.
