FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Minneapolis (September 15, 2005) – Preservation Alliance of Minnesota (PAM) and the Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Commission have both honored Miller Dunwiddie with preservation awards for their work on the U of M Southeast Steam Plant in Minneapolis, Minn..
The rehabilitation project maintained the current function of the 1903 building in a manner consistent with its status on the National Register of Historic Places. The building underwent a series of dramatic changes. Significant areas of deteriorated brick and limited areas of stone were replaced. The remaining exterior brick and stone was cleaned and repointed. The project also included roof replacement, structural repairs, ventilation improvements, and major site improvements.
