Minneapolis, MN
Miller Dunwiddie was selected by the State Designers Selection Board to complete the renovation of Folwell Hall. Originally designed by Clarence H. Johnston, Sr. in 1907, Folwell Hall is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is part of the University of Minnesota's Old Campus Historic District. The building currently contains the largest concentration of classrooms on the University of Minnesota's East Bank campus.
Exterior restoration was completed in the summer of 2008. The interior renovation of the 127,700 SF building is awaiting state funding. The overall effort will restore the historic integrity of the building, modernize classrooms and offices as well as incorporate new plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and data and telecommunications systems into the facility.
