MSP International Airport, MN
Miller Dunwiddie provided planning, architectural, and interior design services for the new 16-gate Humphrey airport terminal. In May of 2001, five gates opened for operation, and five more aircraft gates opened in June of 2002. The terminal includes passenger ticketing, baggage claim, and support offices on the first level with gate hold areas, concessions, and airline operation offices on the second level.
Miller Dunwiddie in cooperation with SRF Consulting Group, designed the new parking facility and inter-modal transportation center for the Humphrey Terminal. The first phase of the facility includes eight stories of parking for 4,650 cars, a revenue control center and the hub for bus, taxi and rental cars. A skyway connects the terminal to the parking facility.
Miller Dunwiddie provided design and construction stage services for the new LRT platform. The Humphrey Station is an on-grade platform, located just south of the Airport tunnel. The entire Humphrey Transit Center offers travel by train, airplane, bus, taxi, rental car and automobile.
