Shoreview, MN

Incarnation Lutheran Church in Shoreview Minnesota selected Miller Dunwiddie to provide architectural services for the design of a contemporary Christian education and worship addition. We began by performing a space utilization analysis to aid the church in maximizing current space. Then we programmed the additional spaces, focusing on flexibility for meeting current and future needs.

The resulting addition has at its center a multipurpose space that functions concurrently with worship services on Sunday and as a gym or social space at other times. We also created classrooms and a dedicated "coffee house style" gathering place that provides a relaxed atmosphere for worshippers to socialize. The site design includes rain gardens that help manage stormwater runoff in a community that values the natural environment.
