In 2005, Our Lady of Lourdes Church retained a consultant team led by Miller Dunwiddie Architecture to report on the existing building conditions at the historic 1857 church. Based on our extensive assessment, MDA made recommendations and priorities for a three-phase, three-year rehabilitation effort. Work began in the summer 2006 with exterior stormwater separation, rectory accessibility upgrades and interior renovations of the kitchen, restrooms, and mechanical facilities. In the summer of 2007 the roof and exterior stonework were rehabilitated, followed in 2008 by the addition of air conditioning, a fire protection system, and the complete restoration of the Sanctuary.
