Minneapolis, MN
Miller Dunwiddie prepared overall site development plans for the north end of Nicollet
Island including construction documents for the exterior restoration and interior
rehabilitation of 12 homes (26 units).
Our development plan included 38 off-street parking spaces, designation of five lots for
future threatened historic homes from Minneapolis, and the introduction of historic plant
materials and fencing. The exteriors of all of the homes were restored to the period of
1860 to 1900 and were based on both historical and architectural research. All work was
approved by the secretary of the interior as part of a tax credit application.
