Basilica of Saint Mary
Project Overview
In 1991, our firm was selected to prepare and implement a long-term improvement plan for the restoration, maintenance and overall improvement of the Basilica of Saint Mary. The project has resulted in the correction of hazardous structural conditions, replacement of the entire copper roof and dome, repair and tuckpointing of the stone walls, and restoration of the stained glass and storm windows. The unfinished basement space was also converted into a fully accessible undercroft. Our work includes numerous other projects such as the Sacristy & Narthex restoration, the historic rectory building renovations & elevator addition, and ongoing evaluations & remodels to all campus buildings. The team at Miller Dunwiddie happily continues to serve the Basilica as a member of the Basilica’s Facilities Assessment Committee.
