Ben Pomeroy Student/Alumni Learning Center, University of Minnesota
The Ben Pomeroy Student/Alumni Learning Center is a state-of-the-art learning facility that was created for the College of Veterinary Medicine through adaptive reuse of the 1907 Dairy Cattle Barn on campus. The exterior restoration faithfully recalls the building’s historic appearance using modern systems and durable materials including a new insulated roof, new replicated energy efficient windows and brick masonry restoration. The interior design includes two high technology classrooms that can be combined into a large conference space, flexible breakout rooms, office space for Academic and Student Services and Continuing Education staff, a student lounge, and a commons/concession area.
