Glensheen Estate, University of Minnesota
The Glensheen Historic Estate is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has long been recognized as a community landmark. Constructed between 1905 and 1908, the estate was originally built as a family home, and today serves as a public museum and premier tourist attraction in the Duluth area and northern Minnesota. Our historic preservation team has completed three major studies at this site including a 1988 Historic Structures Report, a 2011 Historic Structures Report, and a 2012 Storm Damage assessment which led into a full restoration of the site.
